Transfer to a new computer
Hi, I need help.
I bought a new computer and I want to transfer my Blueiris to the new one and cancel it from the old.
May I get advice. Thank you

Re: Transfer to a new computer
Do you care about transferring all of the settins and configs or do you prefer to start from scratch?
You can just deactivate the license on the old one and reinstall the license key on the new one if you want to start from scratch.
Or you could export the settings and import them on the new machine.

Good summary, although if you are really lazy, make sure the disks in the new computer have the same disk letters and folders already exist for BI paths.

My old computer died. I can't deactivate Blue Iris 4 from the old computer (it won't boot). Can I simply install the SW with the old license onto the new computer? I'm, not sure I have the full license number available. I do have the first5 and last 5 on my phone.

Re: Transfer to a new computer
Yes you can.
In the past we have seen people allowing a friend to install BI5 and use their licence. They found it disabled the original installation !
BI5 can be moved around like you are doing quite a few times before it locks up and needs resetting by Support.
BI5 v55903 x64 | Win11 | Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-ZE, Dahua SD22204UE PTZ, Foscam R2, Ertech 4MP, Neos2, 2 SD cams on Picolo Pro | BI5 i7-8700K, 32GB Ram, Multiple SSD and HD | Homeseer HS4 Pro | Homeseer 2 HSPhone | Emby.
